POSITION SUMMARY: This position will supervise and manage the Warehousing, Shipping, Customs and Freight performance of Advanced Energy's 3rd Party Logistics. This is an individual contributor role and will work cross-functionally with other functions of the Supply Chain and Factory Team based in Mexicali. The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for effective resource planning, cycle count accuracy, and proper material handling techniques. It is required for this position to be stationed on-site in the 3PL warehouse.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise and manage 3rd Party Logistics Service ProviderFamiliar with US/Mexico Customs Regulations and ProcessesAccountable and responsible for the 3PL PerformanceSet up appropriate 3PL warehouse Service Level AgreementDrive continuous improvement to the 3PL processes and influence external changesDrive cost performance, responsible for cost savings and targetsAct as the liaison between Mexicali Warehouse and 3PLManage 3PL Cycle Count and responsible for inventory accuracyWork with the extended Supply Chain to achieve team wins and goalsMaintain documentation to reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of department activities.Ensure materials are received and delivered to inventory, and that finished goods are packaged according to specification and shipped in a timely mannerEnsure the security and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control.Ensure materials are available to meet production and Global Service schedules and/or products are shipped as per marketing schedulesAdhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of careIn charge of leading SOP and Work Instruction preparationsOther duties as assigned including warehouse projects, cost optimization and savingsWORK ENVIRONMENT: Primarily works in a shipping & 3PL warehousing environment which may be noisy and fast-paced. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $70,000 to $95,000 per year.
