**Job Description**:
Production supervisor directs the manufacturing operations performed on a shift or group of production lines, ensuring that volume, quality and cost targets are achieved.
Responsibillities
- Has authority for personnel actions and oversees most of the daily operations of the group.
- Keeps a record of shift operations.
- Prepares daily hourly employee timesheets, production summaries, overtime, and downtime reports.
- Inspects product to verify that production specifications are met.
- Assigns employees to maximize production goals, maintain quality and meet production requirements.
- Participates in establishing and modifying operating methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment, and procedures.
- Maintains various production reports, records, and documentation to reflect schedules and performance.
- Trains new workers in the organisation's operating procedures and standards.
Qualifications:

Reviews production schedules, material and manpower resources. Assigns employees to maximize production objectives, maintain quality and attain output requirements. Participates in establishing and modifying operational methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment and procedures. Maintains a variety of reports, records and production documentation to reflect schedules and performance. Trains new workers in the organization's operating procedures and standards.
Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 5 years related experience.
Good work record and experience. Ability to lead in a production environment. Requires tact and good judgement. Excellent communication skills.
