.BASIC FUNCTION:Under the general supervision of the Mgr-Materials Sanimex, this position is responsible for receiving, storing and supplying raw materials, packaging materials and spare parts for vitreous operations. Must also ensure that all material received meets specifications required by the operation, maintaining optimal levels based on material savings, reworking, recycling and teamwork, as well as the timely receipt of invoices for payment to suppliers.SPECIFIC RESPONSABILITIES:Administrate logistics for three warehouses and production supermarkets (a supermarket is an area in packing department with corrugated, components, fittings, labels, printed materials, etc.).Determine suitable materials for keeping in general storeroom.Coordinate the physical inspection of materials when required.Work in close relationship with Purchasing and production departments to assure appropriate inventory levels, while maintaining the lowest possible stock.Administer production supermarkets to ensure that the required material is in the production area.Notify the plant when material has been received.Inform the accounting department, quality control and purchasing of possible damages in received material to take necessary actions.Provide buyers inventory level information for materials to ensure re-supply as necessary.When incoming raw materials for slip and glaze arrive, ensure notification to Ceramic and laboratory departments for proper testing.Administer ISO-9000 files.Ensure the correct input of the received material into the system.Supervise activities of two spot tractors in both plants that move the trailers that arrive.Supervise the virtual importation receiving process to assure that it matches SAP and is performed in time.Supervise that indirect materials received for specific users/areas are delivered promptly.Ensure the correct keeping of the chemical products area.Ensure correct control of scrapped materials.Administer 5S's in both warehouses and storeroom.Coordinate the manufacture of polyurethane foam pads for lavatories and pedestals in both plants.Coordinate the sale of scrapped corrugated, plastic, paper, steel, aluminum and wooden pallets.Perform domestic and international shipments by UPS and Expeditors.Make projects for MC, Safety and savings.Coordinate control of outgoing materials.Supervise the proper receipt of invoices in SAP and forward all invoices to the accounting department for payment to suppliers.Perform other related duties and assignments as directed by the Materials Manager.Skills/RequirementsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATION: Preference Bachelor's degree.EXPERIENCE: Preference 4 years of experience in warehousing activities; inventories; pull signal; Kanban; and ISO.FORMATION: Preference English and Preference Knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based software applications
