We are looking for a talented Supplier Development Engineer to join our specialized Supply team for our Meritor area in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, MEXICO.

In this role, you will have an impact in the following ways:

- Participates and/or leads the participation of Supplier Quality in the evaluation, selection and strategic sourcing and development processes.
- Responsible for our most challenging supplier corrective action situations, including containment, fault tree analysis/assignable cause identification, root cause analysis, permanent corrective actions, and overall effectiveness of the problem resolution process.
- Responsible for determining that all requirements are met by the supplier for new or modified products and the execution of the Production Part Approval Processes and the advanced product quality planning processes, including elements of early supplier involvement and Zero Defect Mindset, for related value package change requests and medium to high risk value package introduction projects.
- Leads the measurement of supplier quality performance in accordance with established procedures and is responsible for driving appropriate improvements to meet established objectives.
- Capabilities in internal technical discussions, such as drawing quality reviews, manufacturing capacity reviews, etc.

To be successful in this position, you will need the following:

- Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanics, Metalworking; Materials or similar
- Management of corrective actions of suppliers.
- Knowledge of tools (PPAP, FMEA, APQP, CPC, SPC, CPK).
- Knowledge of Casting, Forging, Machining, Stamping Commodities.
- External Audits.
- Knowledge IATF 16949:2016. (Certificate)
- VDA knowledge 6.3. (Desirable)
- Experience in root cause analysis
