We would like to meet you!As part of our Global Supplier Management Group, Supplier Development & Performance Management (SD&PM), we have an exciting job opportunity based in Mexico for:Supplier Development Engineer – Senior Specialist m/f/dThe teamThe Supplier Development & Performance Management (SD&PM) team ensures delivery of reliable, compliant goods and services from suppliers to enable an uninterrupted supply of our Company's services and products to our patients.PurposeAs a Supplier Development (SD) Engineer, you will proactively apply world class problem-solving skills through direct engagement with current and potential suppliers to reduce risks to quality and delivery across our global supply network. Partnering with colleagues in Global Procurement and key stakeholder groups, you will identify and implement solutions to complex problems across a range of service and component groups that support our Human Health, Animal Health and Corporate Services functions.The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, inclusion, and communication skills combined with a proven track record of evaluating supplier capabilities against stakeholder requirements, mitigating risk and supporting new supplier launch activities. It is vital that the candidate can creatively apply project management skills and demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset across a wide range of functional areas including, but not limited to, integrated logistics, corporate and site services, information technology, marketing services, and manufacturing/packaging operations.Tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Evaluate potential suppliers against defined criteria to ensure selection of partners who can meet the Company's business requirements as part of the formal sourcing process.Develop mitigation plans to address gaps and risks found during supplier selection and manage resolution of those plans to ensure launch readiness.Evaluate and ensure alignment between Company and supplier specifications to avoid future deviations and supply issues.Drive improvements in supplier performance and capabilities while collaborating with Global / Regional Procurement, Centers of Excellence (COEs), and Site Operation teams.Facilitate overall process improvements to prevent supplier issues.Develop metrics and scorecards to monitor supplier operational performance.Coordinate, communicate and oversee general and technical matters pertaining to suppliers.Maintain flexibility to travel, up to 50%, within the region, country and internationally to supplier/stakeholder locations.Your profile:BS/BA degree in Engineering, Science or Business.Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality, Technical, Manufacturing/Packaging or Business Operations.Experience applying data analytics to solve problems
