**Supplier Development Engineer**

AMREP is looking for talented Supplier Development Engineers (SDEs) with expertise in quality, manufacturing, and supplier management to develop our OEM's supplier base. As a quality leader, you'll use your comprehensive knowledge of NPI manufacturing and quality to ready and drive suppliers towards production success. Your objective is to maximise the supplier's Quality, Cost, Delivery performance such that it meets our OEM partner's business objectives.
**Responsibilities**:
- Leading initiatives to improve the supplier's quality performance and develop new suppliers.
- New supplier auditing, evaluation, training, and qualification.
- NPI development, validation, and qualification.
- Process capability analysis, validation, improvement and qualification.
- New production line, tooling validation and qualification.
- Ensure supplier understanding of production requirements.
- Manage supplier improvement plans.
- Sustaining quality management activities to maintain supplier quality performance.
- Cost reduction, yield improvement and operational excellence activities
- Corrective action plan review, approval and validation.
**Requirements**:
- Tertiary qualifications in electrical/electronics or mechanical engineering
- Practical experience in manufacturing environments (at least 8 years), ideally in the electronics sector. Other advanced manufacturing industries e.g. automotive are welcome.
- Excellent problem solving and leadership capabilities
- Knowledge of FATP (Final Assembly, Test and Packaging) process highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge of supplier auditing, NPI, quality management tools (e.g. APQP, SPC, Lean, Six Sigma, PPAP), and supplier set-up process.
- Demonstrated capabilities in managing supplier performance and yield improvement.
- Strong skills in managing supplier relationships and working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently.
- English at professional proficiency
- Experience in IPC
