Main responsibility:
Support the Assembly Process and Purchasing Team by driving the development of a part certification program and supplier quality measures. Develop, plan and drive the implementation of prevention-based quality controls to facilitate continuous reductions in purchase part variations and defects. Manage and develop the quality system associated with ensuring the conformance of incoming material and the disposition of non-conforming material. Assist in the creation, implementation and management of a corrective Action System in order to create a quality culture and improve customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Quality Management and Supplier corrective action.
Drive the development and implementation of the process to define, manage and improve vendor quality.
Establish measures and goals for purchased part or product quality and communicate them regularly to Suppliers and Commodity Managers to drive continuous improvement.
Responsible for the current DMT process and coordinating with Commodity Managers and suppliers to establish corrective action and minimize QA inventory.
Drive the implementation of a part certification process to reduce internal inspection costs and lead time. Instruct Commodity Managers and Suppliers in its use. Manage 1st article and RI activities.
Regularly communicate with Commodity Mangers, Suppliers, Process Engineers, Reliability Engineer, Assembly Supervisors & Product Engineers to review purchased part quality issues in order to ensure follow-up through the development of a containment and permanent solution.
Provide early warning reports on new purchased part or product issues.
Coordinate with Reliability Engineer & Service Engineer or Sr Technical Service Representative to ensure awareness to known purchased part or product quality issues.
Ensure participation in ECO meeting to ensure awareness to design changes. Ensure implementation is in accordance with 1st article or part certification process.
Support timely troubleshooting on purchased part or product quality.
Responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement of the facilities metrology system.
Responsible for coordinating with Process Engineer all activities surrounding quality gauges or tools for the assembly process.
Regularly visit suppliers and assist Commodity Managers in conducting Supplier Audits.
Qualifications & skills:
Mechanical or Industrial Engineer.
Proficient in quality analysis tools such as 5D, SPC, PFMEA etc. Strong problem-solving skills with ability to teach basic problem-solving techniques and facilitate problem solving team events.
Experience in developing part certification processes and vendor quality measures. Strong knowledge of fabrication-based quality control methods, tools and techniques.

Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
Strong interpersonal and customer interface skills.
Tech skills:
Proficient in use of MS Office software, Excel. Word, PowerPoint.
High skill level and experienced user of MS Access.
Working knowledge of ERP systems, such as Baan.
Capability to learn new software.
Must have:
Advanced English.
