.As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for setting and managing the quality and reliability standards for our server components (memory, hard drive, SSD, PDU, Power IC, Microcontroller, Passive). You are a Quality and Reliability expert with a track record of improving the quality of components during New Product Introduction (NPI) as well as maintaining it throughout its life cycle. In this role, you'll work with suppliers to qualify NPI, are hands-on, and have extensive involvement in the tools and techniques used to assess product quality and reliability. You have solid partner management skills and love to sift through data and use it to drive design or manufacturing process improvements. While working closely with vendors remotely and during visits to qualify NPI and close on quality issues, you're responsible for planning, implementing and managing continued compliance of manufacturing and quality processes. We're looking for a self-sufficient rockstar who is passionate about making sure Quantum and our customers get the best.**Job Duties**:- Be responsible for and establish the Quality and Reliability for Hardware components such as HDD, SSD, Memory, CPU, PDU and Passives components throughout the life cycle.- Work cross-functionally to define and ensure processes are in place to provide the data required to manage quality and reliability.- Work with the engineering team to create reliability predictive models for advanced technology nodes and translate the requirements into actionable projects.- Drive and track Semiconductor component failures internally and drive Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) with the supplier.- Audit supplier quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.- Document technical issues and problem correction/resolution to support product quality programs and product development.- Exercise judgment to determine appropriate action. Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and approaches to problems.- Determine course of action as well as appropriate methods and procedures on new assignments.- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, effective listening, concern with quality deliverables and an appropriate sense of urgency in fulfilling customer requirements.- Obtain product logs and use available tools to troubleshoot product issues.- Support suppliers and Contract manufacturing, as needed.**Essential Functions**:- Communicates information and ideas so others can understand.- Builds productive internal/external working relationships.- Requires self-initiative and self-direction in learning activities and professional development.- Must demonstrate ability to function in team environment and project a positive attitude
