The Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer applies fundamental quality standards and procedures for processing materials into partially finished or finished products at subcontractors.
Develops plans and manages Green Belt Level quality process improvement activities.
Applies fundamental statistical tools and techniques in quality control and reliability activities.Supports worker engaged in receiving, measuring, assembling, and testing product and tabulates data concerning materials, product or process quality and reliability.
Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities consistent with company policies and procedures.
Maintains, presents, and acts upon subcontractor quality metrics.Act as a technical liaison with the contract manufacturers for product quality.
This includes participating in weekly communications, on-site audits, review and management of supplier metrics, quality issue resolution, and any other items that directly relate to product quality.Understand and clearly define problems, collect fundamental data, establish facts, and recommend actions for resolution.Responsible for monitoring and reacting to fundamental quality data created from implemented manufacturing quality plans at the subcontractorsUtilize quality tools and techniques such as PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, DMAIC, Six Sigma, pareto analysis, Ishikawa diagrams, Cpk, SPC, and 8D for continuously improving the supplier's manufactuirng processesConduct Supplier Audits / Vendor Assessments and manage finding to closureTrain/support suppliers in Landis+Gyr PPAP requirements.
