**JOB SUMMARY & ACCOUNTABILITIES**:To develop, evaluate and improve the Vertiv product supplier base through quality system and product process audits. Maintain working relationships with suppliers to insure the highest quality possible of purchased components / materials. Focus on continuous improvement by mutual establishment of quality targets and goals to include quality cost reduction, warranty reduction and overall supplier rating.**RESPONSABILITIES**- Perform in-depth quality system assessments to confirm the structure and implementation of the quality assurance system.- Assess/validate supplier process maturity and capability by means of Quality Management System audits, technical assessment and surveillance audits- Assist suppliers in developing strategic quality improvement plans.- Lead multi-functional teams in the investigation and resolution of supplier non-conformities and oversee implementation of all necessary actions required to correct these issues.- Interact closely with other technical departments/functions across Vertiv.- Lead containment strategy during supplier problem identification and resolution.- Issue, review, accept/reject and validate supplier corrective actions.- Follow up with suppliers on all open action items in a timely manner.- Own the purchase part analysis and next steps with all assigned suppliers.- Facilitate Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) process for assigned suppliers.- Promote supplier continuous improvement such as cost reduction and quality ppm reduction opportunities.- Represent supplier quality during the New Model Development life cycle.**REQUIREMENTS**:**Basic Qualifications**:- A bachelor's degree in an engineering or quality related discipline.- 3~5 years of supplier quality, manufacturing quality and/or manufacturing engineering experience.**Minimum Qualifications**:- Tactfulness and persuasive communication skills.- Must be an energetic and dynamic team player.- Strong analytical and technical writing skills.- Fundamental presentation skills and project management.- Knowledge and experience in a variety of manufacturing processes applicable to the products designed and manufactured by Vertiv.- Proven ability to lead cross functional teams and working well under tight deadlines.- Capable of performing honest, in-depth quality system and process assessments.- Ability to present audit findings, results and action plans / schedules to top management.- Working knowledge and the ability to interpret Quality related tools such as FMEA, PQCT (Control Plans), Six Sigma Methodology, Process Capability studies, Gauge R&R, GD&T, PPAP- Skilled in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
