Supplier Quality Manager

**Responsibilities**:Leads and/or participates with Purchasing in the supplier evaluation, selection, and strategic sourcing and development processes.Responsible for our most challenging supplier corrective action situations including containment, identification of assignable cause, root cause analysis,permanent corrective actions, and overall effectiveness of the problem-solving process.Collaborates with and leads suppliers to understand and meet all product requirements including compliance with the Nelson Supplier Handbook.Oversees the supplier quality resources for our most challenging new product introduction and current products to reduce supplier related issues,improve process capabilities, and ensure timely project launches.Leads the measurement of supplier quality performance according to established procedures and is responsible to drive appropriate improvements tomeet established targets.Responsible to lead the continuous improvement activities with suppliers in their efforts to reduce defects.Ongoing support of supplier's quality, cost, and delivery objectives.Participate and/or lead the change control processes with the supply base, ensuring timely and cost-effective implementation.Conduct process/product audits on a scheduled routine to provide ongoing quality assurance.Support plant level quality issues as they occur, perform other duties and projects as required.**Qualifications**:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent engineering experience is requiredFive years of manufacturing experienceASQ certification a plusProficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, good understanding of GD&TExperience in using AIAG Quality toolsKnowledge of metal forming and weldingExperienced Advanced Product Quality Planning Knowledge, Project Issue and Risk Management - Supplier Quality Management - Problem Solving -Dimensional Metrology
