**Position Overview/Primary Purpose**:
The Export Analyst is responsible for providing excellent customer service and order management while maintaining strong professional relationships with assigned customers, sales and supply chain teams and external business partners. The Export Analyst will be required to use analytical tools, reports, and partnerships to identify operational gaps and develop sustainable solutions to maximize internal and external efficiency and customer satisfaction. Serves as process expert by providing valuable insight and expertise across departmental looking for standardizations and optimizations in CS/business processes.
**Responsibilities**:
Investigate requirements and complete documentation for exporting of products to foreign countries
Manages the freight forwarders in addition to performing routine customer service functions
Manages financial aspects of orders to include invoicing to customers
Investigate and resolve service inquiries about order fulfillment and order delivery status from internal and external customers
Work with others to implement supply chain efficiency improvements
**Required Qualifications**:
3+ years experience in Customer Service, Supply Chain or Logistics. Direct customer contact a plus.
Thorough understanding of foreign trade/regulations and of foreign market conditions
Exceptional understanding of Export business concepts, practices, procedures, and shipping requirements Advanced English skills (speaking, writing, and reading) Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing, with individuals at all levels that allows for collaboration with business partners. Involves significant exchange of information in a concise and logical way. Strong analytical skills, intermediate Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), experience with ERP systems, and independence in addressing and solving issues with internal and external customers. Ability to identify and drive process improvements. Proven record of achieving results: ability to manage varied tasks and adapt to changing priorities Ability to lead small projects with little formal oversight
**Preferred Qualifications**: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field. Knowledge of the customers and markets in which McCormick operates. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, inventory management, warehouse, and distribution Practical knowledge of PI tools and ERP systems: SAP Strong negotiations skills
