They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.What your background should look like:What your background should look like:
- Follows and establishes practices that ensure the correct administration of the MPS/MRP parameters for planning, the appropriate use of the system and compliance.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs), identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
- Manages plant manufacturing requirements according to inventory policy and plant capacities.
- Direct contact with Customer Service to establish agreements and coordinate on time delivery.
- Analyze trend requirements and published forecasting to drive planning actions.
- Evaluate Planned Orders to create suitable productions schedules.
- Estimate the amount of material to be used in the production schedule (Clear-to-build).
- Promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimize delays in production.
- Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottleneck in usage.
- Monitoring and creation of deliveries per Customer needs (Customer Requested Date).
- Notify Sales & Customer Service teams of any schedule impacts to customers.
- Identify strategies to take care of Ship-to-Request metrics per deliveries creation.
- Maintain finished goods inventory at target levels to ensure high service levels.
- Monitor actual output versus the Master Production Plan.
- Review past due orders to determine most effective action-reschedule.
- Timely reporting of key metrics (Past Due & Ship-to-Request).
- Monitor MRP system setup, identify supply gaps and proactively work with the different stakeholders to implement solutions.KEY EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- Bachelor's Degree (Supply Chain / Industrial Engineering preferred) or equivalent relevant experience in Supply Chain/Production Planning.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- MRP experience required
