Role Overview The Director of Supply Chain Management will oversee and optimize the end-to-end supply chain processes for our manufacturing plant in Querétaro. This leadership role is crucial in ensuring the seamless and cost-effective delivery of raw materials and finished products, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and driving continuous improvements in supply chain efficiency. The Director will play a strategic role in aligning supply chain operations with the company's goals, fostering innovation, and enhancing overall operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with the company's long-term goals and drive operational excellence. Lead the development of innovative solutions to enhance supply chain performance.Analyze and continuously improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase service levels. Implement best practices and leverage technology to streamline operations.Oversee inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of raw materials and finished goods.Implement and refine inventory control systems to minimize excess and obsolete inventory, ensuring inventory accuracy and turnover efficiency.Manage the procurement process, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.Optimize transportation routes and methods to reduce costs and improve delivery times.Collaborate with sales and production teams to develop accurate demand forecasts.Use forecasting tools and techniques to predict future demand and adjust supply chain activities accordingly.Monitor supply chain expenses and develop strategies to reduce costs without compromising quality.Ensure contingency plans are in place to address supply chain disruptions.Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to achieve departmental and company goals.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.Critical Competencies for Success Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Proficiency in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to make decisions under pressure and solve complex problems.Financial acumen and experience with budgeting and cost control.Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading complex projects.Proficiency with ERP systems and manufacturing software.Proficiency in speaking and writing in English is required.
