Gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement and gain knowledge by performing tasks aimed at supporting ABB operations and enhancing staff education/employment opportunities. Main activities to be executed will be to support the Supply Chain / Sourcing Team for Mebane ELDS Factory. These activities includes contact with suppliers to requests quotations for direct materials (mainly steel items), as well as keep our purchasing database up to date with pricing, fixed source of supply and creating purchasing info records / source lists as well as to clarify questions to execute a smooth quotation process with the intention to create purchase orders on time, with correct information and keep a continuous flow for order entry of purchase orders.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Quotation of direct materials.
- Support to create/update purchasing database with pricing and suppliers.
- Support to review e interpret at drawings or clarify supplier doubts while quoting.
- Improvement Ideas on Processes.
**Your background**:
- Student of International Business, Management, Industrial or Mechanical Administrator Engineering.
- Scholar Insurance active from 6 months to 1 year.
- Conversational English.
- Basic knowledge of Supply Chain Management/Logistics.
- Advanced Excel level / SAP MM (desirable).
