Develop and deploy the logistics strategy associated with warehousing, transportation, distribution and trade compliance. Ensure that the right product is in the right place at the right time.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelops, manages and executes the strategy for warehousing, transportation, distribution and trade compliance for the business.Provides direction in the implementation and continuous improvement of logistics solutions through the distribution phases.Provides technical and operational support; recommends prices to long-term strategies to reduce transportation costs.Partners with business leaders to identify and communicate appropriate performance metrics to internal and external stakeholders. Determines the lowest cost plan to execute logistics strategy.Optimizes the capacity for transportation and warehousing at the lowest cost while fulfilling business objectives.Negotiates contracts with suppliers and third-party providers for warehousing, distribution, and transportation.Responsible for planning supply chain, manufacturing, transportation, and counting analysis, risk management and contingency planning, managing the transportation budget process and its reporting/accounting relative, participating in cost-benefit analysis of multiple carriers and alternative supply chains.Skills And KnowledgeB.S. or equivalent technical degree.Demonstrated track record of success in a series of increasingly responsible positions.Proven leadership experience.Extensive experience in shipping, receiving, and Import-Export.Experience in leading teams in meeting continuous improvement goals, step change performance improvements, innovation, expanding technical capability, work redesign or other change efforts
