This role is crucial for managing purchasing operations across multiple sites and ensuring efficient procurement processes.**Job Description**:The Buying Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement activities at our Tijuana facility and coordinating with other sites to ensure seamless and cost-effective purchasing operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in manufacturing and multi-site purchasing management.Key Responsibilities:Procurement Strategy:Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and manufacturing needs.Ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.Multi-Site Coordination:Oversee and manage purchasing operations across multiple locations.Coordinate with site managers to understand and meet their procurement requirements.Standardize procurement processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.Supplier Management:Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.Conduct regular assessments and audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards.Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best terms and prices.Team Leadership:Lead and mentor the purchasing team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment within the procurement department.Cost Control:Monitor and control procurement budgets, identifying opportunities for cost savings.Conduct market analysis and research to stay informed about market trends and pricing.Implement strategies to reduce procurement expenses without compromising quality.Inventory Management:Collaborate with production and inventory management teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.Develop and implement strategies to minimize excess inventory and reduce lead times.Monitor inventory metrics and adjust procurement plans as needed.Reporting and Analysis:Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings.Analyze procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.Qualifications:**Education**:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.**Experience**:Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Proven experience managing purchasing operations across multiple sites.**Skills**:Strong leadership and team management abilities.Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.Proficiency in procurement software and tools
