JOB SUMMARY: The Supply Chain Risk Management team will work cross-functionally to collaborate and communicate daily with the Global Operations teams and the Core Functions (Central Planning, Strategic Sourcing, and Engineering). This team will lead proactive supply chain risk identification and mitigation to improve supply continuity, while delivering strong performance to Build and Ship SIOP, Financial Forecasts and Cost, Quality and Delivery metrics. As a Supply Chain Risk Manager you will be responsible for developing strategy and implementing standard work to identify and resolve issues that are negatively impacting Polaris' supply chain. You will work closely with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to understand true root causes of issues, develop and implement countermeasures, and track and report progress to our Global Operations teams and Business Units. In addition to responding to unforeseen supply issues and mitigating their effects, you will also use the Supply Chain Risk Index to proactively identify and address potential supply chain risks before they disrupt our operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in developing standard tools, metrics and processes to accomplish supply chain recovery objectives.Implement standard tools and processes to drive supply chain performance improvements.Utilize lean methodologies to identify and countermeasure root causes of supply chain interruptions.Directly and indirectly lead team of cross-functional resources to improve supply chain performance.Drive standard meeting cadence and action register reviews with suppliers who are escalated to Supply Chain Risk Management teams.Evaluate supplier forward looking capacity vs Polaris demand, identify issues and develop and implement countermeasures.Utilize existing metrics and develop additional metrics to communicate progress made in reducing supply chain disruptions.Regularly report progress to Global Operations and BU leadership.Manage emerging issues with suppliers and communicate countermeasures and recovery timelines to key stakeholders throughout the organization.Act as an escalated presence with suppliers, striking appropriate tone to drive urgency while also maintaining and growing strong partnerships. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Bachelors degree in Operations, Business or similar field.8+ years of purchasing or relevant experience (project management, planning, engineering, etc.).2+ years of direct leadership experience preferred or a proven leader who has the demonstrated ability to build effective departmental and cross-functional teams
