Job Description Our Global Supply Chain team is looking for a talented supply chain leader to optimize our procurement & sourcing processes in a dynamic & expanding business across multiple plants and through our world-wide supply base.
The Supply Chain Specialist will be a results-oriented leader who owns the value stream for core purchasing and sourcing processes.
They are responsible for mapping our process, developing standard work & training materials, educating team members, and measuring our progress.
This person will be a subject matter expert on our process, systems, and core capabilities.
They will be responsible for scaling our supply chain through reduced overburden for team members and removing non-value-added activities.
The ideal candidate would have a passion for process improvement within a virtual environment, enjoy collaborating with our cross-functional team, and drive change through our organization.
They would partner with IT to mature our processes and tools and help end-users better leverage existing tools.
Roles & Responsibilities: Value stream owner - Drive improved procurement & sourcing capabilities and processes.
Acts as a system/application usage subject matter expert for procurement & sourcing processes including supplier capacity and core processes related to continuity of supply.
Facilitate value stream mapping, business process re-design, kaizen, continuous improvement, and lean thinking to simplify and optimize targeted areas.
Surveys our team working in real life, conducts data analyses, and documents current state and opportunities for improvement Collaborates with cross-functional IT & business teams to document and visualize business requirements Identify process automation opportunities in supply chain; work with internal IT staff to develop specifications and test scripts.
Leverages SAP and existing tools to automate manual processes Create department operating procedures, work instructions, and workflows.
Develop, manage, maintain, and communicate key supply chain, sourcing, and procurement metrics Acts as subject matter expert for supply chain – facilitates training users on core purchasing processes Partners with manufacturing & planning SMEs to solve cross-functional problems and remove barriers in greater supply chain Conduct supply chain analysis and generate data visualizations Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 7 years' experience in a relevant supply chain, industrial engineering, or operations role.
Prior exposure to a manufacturing environment, business applications or data science is preferred.
Master's degree in Supply Chain Management is a plus.
Structured problem solver –has analytical or scientific approach to finding optimal and timely solutions to day- to-day and strategic challenges including previous experience with lean or six-sigma frameworks. Data savvy – demonstrated expert-level of experiences and capability with MS Excel.
Intermediate ability to write SQL code Application knowledge in SAP, Agile preferred Experience with extracting data from SAP and/or SAS applications as well as developing visualization tools for summarizing extracted data.
Excellent capabilities in building management level presentations as well as creating narrative explanations using quantitative information.
Candidate to share a portfolio of work that demonstrates experience in process improvement in supply chain and virtual value streams.
Licenses/certifications (all considered to be a plus for role): Professional certificates in data science or analytics Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing CPSM, CPIM, and/or PMP Ability to manage multiple objectives and priorities concurrently.
Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access Knowledge of control and requirements for business within a regulated industry (i.e.
