As Supply Chain Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day sales activity, sales support, and customer service tasks for customers and assigned accounts, including placement and analysis of complex orders and functions. You will also help build long-term business relationships with customers, research and respond to customer inquiries, maintain efficiencies in operational processes and procedures, and serve as a liaison between Arrow's internal resources (field sales, inside sales, manufacturing facilities, purchasing, and other corporate departments), suppliers, and customers, and serve as a subject matter expert in customer meetings. What You'll Be Doing: Manage the end-to-end experience with our customers/programs.Load new customer purchase orders into our Oracle-based system.Maintain and status existing orders to deliver products based on customer material due dates.Hold recurring calls with customers to go over shortages and manufacturing updates.Monitor inventory levels to maximize turns.Process invoice orders and maximize gross profit dollars.Maintain a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the Arrow Supply Chain Process.Make recommendations on process enhancements.Use Microsoft Excel, Access, and Focus to support complex supply chain business objectives.Work directly with customers and SCSM(s) to define the implementation requirements to ensure successful Supply Chain Engagement.Develop related documentation/procedures required in support of all new supply chain solutions or our more complex engagements.Evaluate new opportunities with the field, as well as with our SCSM(s) to determine and develop the appropriate implementation strategy required to meet the needs of the supply chain engagements.Develop new support models as required to maximize the overall performance of our supply chain solutions.Support new supply chain engagements from concept through implementation.Review and analyze the performance of existing accounts and provide direct support as needed with branch personnel for any recommended changes necessary to improve account performance
