.TE Connectivity's Facilities Security Teams protect the organization's employees, properties and all items of value on premises from any preventable harm or danger.**What your background should look like**:- Responsible for monitoring company grounds to prevent theft, violence, or other loss of company property by executing procedures and processes to provide protection for personnel and company property that meet required codes and regulations.- Develop and revise security plans, procedures/instructions, fixed facility checklists, SOPs and information security plans and procedures as needed- Provide proposal security input; support existing contracts and contractor employees- Maintains records, manuals, and documentation, and completes reports for loss control, security breaches, accidents/incidents, or intruders; conduct internal investigations in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.- Prepare reports for management as required; effectively maintain security industry relationships- Operates computer equipment, including automated security systems and employee identification card system to produce, activate and deactivate access to sites or spaces in accordance with established guidelines and directions to prevent access of unauthorized individuals to company sites or spaces and unauthorized removal or damage of company property.- Knowledgeable of statutory or standard procedures and awareness of available mechanical/electronic fire/security systems and testing procedures and recommends changes/improvements.- Responds to contingency events, including bomb threats, sabotage, and severe weather conditions through on-site security force or with the assistance of government law enforcement agencies; liaising with police orfire authorities regularly to ensure suitable procedures and systems are in place.- Conduct initial security awareness, foreign travel, annual refresher, and special security briefings- May be located at a single-entry point, monitoring grounds via camera or other surveillance equipment, or perform walk-throughs of property and premises.- May be responsible for coordinating and administering security clearances and other policies and procedures in compliance with government agencies and regulations.- May greet and direct visitors, provide temporary visitor IDs, and maintain a visitors' log.- Degree or certificate in facilities management or any combination of training and three (3) or more years of experience as a highly skilled worker and/or supervisor with thorough knowledge, technical expertise, and proficiency in maintenance, operation, and contracting repairs of plant property.- Minimum 3 years of experience in managing building security- Ability to write effective and concise reports and document investigations and counseling sessions
