**Description****Primary Purpose**: Developing of purchasing strategies, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs, and overseeing the purchasing team in their daily activities.Responsible to purchase of all materials required ensuring quality, price and on time delivery based on Company's policies and procedures.**Duties and Responsibilities**:1. Lead and direct the initiatives to implement Sourcing and purchasing strategies. Search and source potential suppliers and vendors. Define, design, and improve purchasing systems and processes.2. Maintain accuracy of the purchasing parameters on ERP with regular validation. (Info Record, Material Master) and related documentation.3. Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.4. Responsible to develop and implement of metrics to control all ERP purchase operations managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks.5. In charge of managing and organize the portfolios of the buyers for a correct handling of the numbers of the ERP execution messages.6. Interface with Warehouse to expedite, in a coordinate way, the receiving of the material, solution of discrepant invoices and facilitating urgent receipts.7. Lead and direct the escalation internally and externally: With Suppliers and with Category and Sourcing Manager, ensuring the supply of the material on time.8. Oversee the recruitment, hiring, training and motivate of new staff and current staff.9. Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.10. Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications**Work Experience**:**Required**:- 10 years of experience (At least 3 years managing people). Planning Experience is a Plus.- Proven work experience as a Purchasing Supervisor/Manager.- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.- Ability to use tools for problem solving (Ishikawa, 5 Whys, PDCAs, Kaizen methodology).- Hands on experience with ERP execution: Metrics, Actions and follow up.- Leadership skills and ability manage staff.- Excellent communication skills (Written and verbal)- Expertise in EDI and VMI management is a plus.- Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.- Strong planning and organizational skills.- Strong decision making and problem solving.- Ability to work independently.**Education**:Required - Professional degree.Preferred: - Engineering or Business Administration
