**_What Transportation contributes to Cardinal Health_**
Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.
Transportation is responsible for the movement of materials and products between suppliers, manufacturing, warehousing and the customer. Management of transportation assets and systems to gain greater service, cost efficiency and optimization of processes.
**_Qualifications_**
- 2-4 years of experience
- BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field
- Fully Bilingual
- Experience with CIMA and PRMS Systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
- Ability to manage data bases and create queries from different systems
- Inventory control experience.
- Shipping Experience.
- Kaizen Leader
- Experience training new employees.
- Customer Service experience
- Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge.
- Ability to create, manage and present KPIs to upper management level.

What is expected of you and others at this level_**
- Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of operations or business staff
- Supervise and evaluate all transportation systems
- Create, implement, and revise an annual budget for transportation department expenditures
- Provide long-range planning for transportation department
- Oversee purchases of repair parts and department supplies
- Check driver logs and mileage sheets, also maintain end of the year mileage reports.
- Maintain transportation records and prepares reports
- Investigate and effectively resolve employee conduct problems in the work place.
- Administers and exercises policies and procedures
- Ensures employees operate within guidelines
- Decisions have a direct impact to work unit operations and customers
- Frequently interacts with subordinates, customers, and peer groups at various management levels
- Interactions normally involve information exchange and basic problem resolution
