In this role, you'll be focused on building our sustainability and climate action practice across LATAM with a focus in Mexico, this includes dedicate part of your time to supporting our clients, and part of your time to building our knowledge and capabilities within the firm. For client service, you will be pulled in by teams due to your well-defined knowledge expertise, tailor your expertise to each specific client situation, and use that expertise to develop insights and recommendations. For knowledge and capability building, you'll maintain and renew expertise and be recognized by clients and colleagues for it, you'll expand the firm's expertise in at least one area and contribute to knowledge development initiatives that advance the Firm's capabilities, and you'll drive the firm's innovation and capability building agenda on your dedicated topic(s). What You Will Do As a Sustainability Director , you will be directly responsible for managing and delivering sustainability advisory services and ESG strategy assignments for our client base in Mexico. Build the business's profile through insightful thought leadership and participation in various industry groups; influence the market through media such as speaking events, social media, and press. You will collect and prepare strategy and reporting documentation, track metrics, maintain schedules and budgets and deliver client updates. Create Value added proposals to C-Suite level execs in Mexico and Sustainability Officers You will support the sustainability team to deliver challenging commercial real estate projects for a diverse set of owner, occupier, and investor clients. Coordinate with clients to develop creative solutions to meet their ESG and sustainability ambitions, including but not limited to goal development and refinement, disclosure and reporting, strategy roadmaps, and plan implementation. Coordinate with and support sustainability communications and marketing teams to develop materials to pitch and win new business. Understand and analyze the business models that drive change. Communicate the competitive advantages of being a purpose-driven leader to management, leadership, and other key stakeholders. Examine the broader environmental, political, and social landscape in which you operate, including the role of government, investors, and customers. Engage with clients, investors, developers, and occupiers of commercial real estate to develop relationships and identify new opportunities to deliver sustainability solutions. You will have client impact in one or more of the following areas including Environmental, Social, and Governance improvements; Climate risk assessment; Portfolio strategy for decarbonization; Green business building; Net Zero; Environmental Justice; Decarbonization of a corporate operations (Scope 1 and 2 emissions); Decarbonization of a corporate supply chains (Scope 3 emissions); Designing products for sustainability (including circular economy); Carbon measurement, tracking and tracing; Investor portfolio alignment for net zero. Your Qualifications Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, or relevant field (e.g., resource economics, engineering, public policy) Degree in Architecture. 15 years of relevant industry or consulting experience in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or relevant field Collaborate closely with regional and firmwide sustainability teams. Mentor and inspire team members, develop Point of Views, and develop internal sustainability skills of existing design staff. SME with track record of publishing and speaking extensively about trends. Active member of leading industry networks. Broad understanding of sustainable design and wellness concepts. Experience driving change programs in major corporations a plus. An excellent understanding of the climate change sector with strong existing networks of key clients and decision makers.
