Sustaining Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIESProvides technical support to internal Vertiv functions - marketing, sales, application engineering, customer technical support and service, and manufacturing.Understands the products, suggesting ideas and improvements back to group.Assists with creation, reviewing, and systems-entry of new product specifications, ECNs, tests, procedures, user manuals, submittal drawings, and sales literature.Creates/modifies mechanical drawings/parts in CAD systems, such as CREO or Solid Edge.Assists with troubleshooting of escalated or re-occurring field issues.Performs lab testing of products.QUALIFICATIONS1 - 3 Years of engineering product development or support experience.Sheetmetal design/manufacture experience.Working knowledge of mechanical concepts, products, safety, and test-methods.Ability to follow testing and instructional procedures.Data-entry systems familiarity & BOM Creation Experience - Oracle, Agile, etc.Mechanical CAD tools experience.MBD (Model Based Definition) experience preferred.CREO or Solid Edge preferred.Troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve (and prevent) a wide range of problems quickly and logically.Good planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills.Ability to multitask and operate in cross-functional Global Development Teams.Ability to work independently and as part of a Team.Fluency in English.Basic electrical and thermal experience a plus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
