About the role The role involves overseeing product qualifications and maintaining a project roadmap, requiring 4 to 6 years of technical experience. Responsibilities include ensuring design compliance, managing documentation and standards, executing projects with quality metrics, and optimizing costs. The engineer collaborates on product design, develops competitive products, provides technical support, analyzes specifications, and conducts simulations while also driving innovation and root cause analysis.
Key Responsibilities: As a Sustaining Engineer you'll be responsible for:
Project Management: Oversee product and component qualifications, maintaining a feeder list of projects to support a 3-year roadmap.Documentation and Compliance: Maintain drawings, BOM, engineering systems, and documentation.Product Development: Develop and maintain world-class, safe, and cost-competitive standard products.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across CMX Commercial manufacturing and engineering organizations to identify and develop strategies for product cost optimization.Innovation: Work with the product management team to develop and introduce new or lower-cost technology options in standard products.Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis as needed.Requirements: We are looking for people who are capable of negotiating and have good adaptability skills. As a minimum you must have: Experience in test plan development (Performance and reliability tests).Project management experience.At least 4 - 6 years of experience in a similar role, ensuring design intent by collaborating closely with design engineers.Advanced English (required).Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have: Programming skills (C++, Power BI).Knowledge in design of experiments (DOE).Knowledge in certification standards such as UL, ETL, and ANSI.Benefits: We are committed to offering competitive benefits programs for all of our employees and enhancing our programs when necessary.
