System Designer Manager

The main role of this position is to supervise and develop designers specialized in packaging lines to respond in an innovative and competitive way to the needs for equipment (concepts) and line engi-neering services for liquid products, food, household and personal items in PET packaging, cans, glass and other materials from our customers in Latin America**Your Mission**:- Lead the System Design activities within the relevant perimeter. Ensure full compliance with Sidel processes and that deliverables are being met to stakeholders' satisfaction. To do this, he/she must:LEADERSHIP- Ensure leadership, provide direction, evaluate, and develop a team of Line designers to achieve the established budget, quality and customer satisfaction goals.- Monitor that Line design deliverables are being met to defined specifications within the Line design's base-lined cost, customer specifications and scheduled timelines.- Promote continuous improvement initiatives and mindset in order to improve productivity, quality and resource allocation.- Supervise, plan, coordinate and manage all the activities of the system design pre-sales and execution team.- Ensure to have an efficient coordination and communication in the office between the design team and the different stakeholders, as well colleagues overseas.- Supervise the preparation of drawings for engineering studies.**TECHNICAL APPROACH**:- Monitor Line designs risks and act to anticipate or manage internal and external conflicts and crisis.- Responsible to design the best solutions to reach technical customer expectations with the right cost.- Responsible to use standard conveying elements within the limits prescribed in technical files.- Responsible to quote conveyor systems, piping, platforms, electrical power distribution.- Ensure the proper transfer of the solutions sold to the execution phase and manufacturing entities.**COMERCIAL APPROACH**:- Ensure to be compliant with customer specifications.- Organize and participate in-site surveys.- Ensure the satisfaction of internal and external customers.**COMPLIANCE**:- Implement and improve the company's working methods / tools.- Ensure to comply with the group process: Project execution guidelines.**Your Profile**:- Have a College degree in industrial mechanics or equivalent technical experience.- Have 2-3 years of experience in a similar position or equivalent, in engineering / design and team management.- Have good communication skills with internal and external actors (customers).- Able to work autonomously with both cross-functional and international colleagues.- Be proactive, have a problem solving / analytical attitude.- Knowledge on Autocad software under 2D environment and MS office.- Be able to travel 10-20% of the time- Be fluent in English, French is a plus.**Contract Type**:**Permanent**:**Country**:**MEXICO**:**Location**:**Guadalajara**:
