Description and RequirementsWe are hiring System Engineer with FPGA & debug capabilities to work in Lenovo's Cloud Service Provide Group (CSP). This is a fast-paced customer-centric organization that will adapt to changing market demands to serve customer needs. We're the only company with true end-to-end capabilities for even the most unique datacenter computing solution. Our CSP solutions can be designed, manufactured, tested, serviced, and deployed worldwide using only Lenovo teams and without any other JDM support required at any stage of the product lifecycle.
Location:This position is based in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.
What You'll Do Design and implement the FPGA/CPLD function on the server motherboard and related sub cards.Complete FPGA/CPLD code writing and implementation, build simulation platform, and execute simulation test and on-board test.Write documents related to FPGA/CPLD design and testing.Inspect relevant parts of FPGA/CPLD of schematic diagram.Support debugging FPGA/CPLD related problems during the whole development process.Basic Qualifications: BS in Engineering required.Proficient in CPLD development process, familiar with Lattice, Xilinx and Intel FPGA chips.Proficient in Verilog language. Proficient in using Diamond Vivado and Quartus development tools.Proficient in using modalism simulation software.Familiar with I2C, SPI, ESPI and other common communication interfaces.More than 6 years of FPGA/CPLD development experience.Have strong ability to communicate and cooperate with others.Server product development experience is preferred.Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions to ensure product quality.Document best practices and lessons learned to improve product quality and test efficiency.Preferred Qualifications A Master's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering is a plus.Can use oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, host bus adapters, meters, and other test equipment to debug HW/SW/FW issues.Experience in direct customer engagements and the ability to interface with Lenovo and customer executives.Ability to understand customer requirements; interpret these requirements and convert them into a competitive CSP platform portfolio.Proficiency with Linux server operating systems.Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.Ability to work effectively cross-culturally across teams in the USA, Asia and Mexico.Why Lenovo?
