JOB SUMMARY_**:
The System Requirement Engineer interfaces with multiple stakeholders to understand requirements, domain, viable technology, and development activities for automotive ECU development projects.
Tasks include, but are not limited to, front-end communications with customers regarding requirements and solutions, analysis and definition of system design alternatives, and daily technical guidance of engineering activities within the team.
The System Requirements Engineer is to understand the needs of the automotive customers, translate them into actionable requirements for the functional disciplines (requirements engineering)., and system testing.
The system requirement engineer is also aware of safety, security, and regulatory requirements.

Education/Experience_**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering / Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent

(Master's preferred)
- 3+ years' relevant experience regarding the Responsibility / Activities (listed above) for automotive electronics serial

development projects (mandatory).

JOB FUNCTIONS (ESSENTIAL)_**:

- Leads system/product requirements specifications activities.
- Provides technical guidance and performs analysis for stakeholder requirements, prepares the compliance matrix and the exceptions and assumptions record, and obtains and manages customer clarifications.
- Provides engineering support for sales presentations, technical solutions discussions, with prospective customers.
Understands and documents customer requirements using ALM tools.
Manage and negotiate customer requirements and change requests.
- Decomposes customer, Safety and Security requirements into system requirements
- Organizes and leads the review process of the system requirements
- Adapts legal /regulatory/compliance/supplier requirements to the project
- Implements the Requirements Plan (Metrics Concepts, Tracebility Concept, Document Structure, Requirements Structure etc)
- Has full ownership of the System Requirements and is the first contact
- Support the system Architect to understand the system requirements
- Support the System architect to trace the requirements into Architecture
- Supports the System Architect to implement the System Requirements into Architecture
- Supports System Test to write System Test Cases
- Support System Test to write Tests KPI's
- Support the System Test to define Validation Criteria
- Supports the analysis of the change requests/defects from requirements point of view and provides effort estimates
- Supports the Requirement Manager to assess the overall Change Request/Defect effort
- Lead cross functional requirements reviews
- Actively pursue cost saving ideas.
Provides technical input to RFP/RFQ responses.
- Works with Engineering Program Management to provide feasibility and planning information.
- Provide technical advice for product/systems roadmap definition based on expert knowledge of ECU specific technologies and customer use cases.
- Oversees and supports life cycle engineering activities using defined processes and standards.
- Participates in internal and external technical reviews, as required.
- Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
Ensures that facilities are in full compliance with all safety regulations.
- Maintains regular attendance.
- Follows safe work procedures; Uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE); Uses workplace tools and equipment as instructed; Reports workplace hazards, injuries and illness as soon as possible following event.
