The ideal candidate will have experience with probe testing, new generation product development, functional and design validation, and product yield enhancement.Main ResponsibilitiesImprove Probe testing coverage, quality and on DRAM productsOwning the probe test flow, reviewing and signing off probe test program releases to ensure quality controlUtilizing state-of-art in-house engineering equipment to support product characterization and electrical failure analysisDeveloping creative testing algorithms to improve testing efficiencyResponsible for new product startup and yield improvementSupporting design verification and in-depth circuit analysis of new products using CAD tools and Verilog simulationsWorking with the wafer fab process/integration group to address process-related defects affecting product yieldIdentifying design marginalities and recommending design fixes for circuit-related problemsDesigning novel test algorithms and developing test programs for validating DRAM features and commandsUsing high-speed tester hardware to perform validation of new DRAM devicesAnalyzing failures generated from evaluationsAutomating program development and work processes using scriptingIdentifying causes of low yield through systematic analysisWorking closely with various engineering groups in resolving process/defects-related issuesPerforming electrical/physical failure analysis to understand the failure mechanism relating to defects/fab processUtilizing statistical tools for detailed data analysis on products to drive yield improvement projectsDeveloping high-quality and cost-efficient DRAM test strategiesUnderstanding DRAM defect mechanisms and DRAM system error recovery featuresCollaborating with test engineering teams to define and secure necessary test fixtures for memory and system testingConducting electrical failure analysis of the DRAM products through different phases of the product life cycling such as qualification, high volume manufacturing and customer returnsExtensive usage of data parsing and data analysis for improving yields, test times and quality of the productsRequirements:The selected candidate should possess excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and strong communication abilities.A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
8 years of experience in product engineering, preferably in the semiconductor industry.The estimated salary for this position is $140,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
