Systems Administrator 2

Job DescriptionPrimary Responsibility: Support, administrate, and monitor infrastructure used for production and recommend improvements as necessary to ensure the operation of the company's business-critical production environment. Responsible for ensuring that the company's infrastructure always works. Manages the load configuration of a server cluster environment and makes recommendations for purchase or upgrade. Proposes and implements solutions (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the infrastructure. Applies capacity planning to business recommendations. First point of contact for performance analysis, scalability, and service architecture/database infrastructure issues. May be asked to coordinate with other IT and production departments' equipment and upgrade, monitor, test, and service the database/systems.
