.The Systems and Infrastructure Engineer role is crucial in designing, implementing, and maintaining the systems and infrastructure that underpin our IT operations. Leveraging your expertise in system administration, you will support the organization's technical infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. Your role will involve day-to-day administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of on-premises systems and infrastructure.General AccountabilitiesDesign, deploy, and configure physical and virtual servers, storage arrays, networking devices, and other infrastructure components, ensuring proper integration and alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.Perform system administration tasks, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of operating systems, server applications, and infrastructure services.Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability, and implement proactive measures to optimize performance, mitigate risks, and ensure high availability and reliability of systems and services.Implement security controls, access controls, and encryption mechanisms to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and cybersecurity standards.Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and patching to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy and optimize IT solutions that meet the company's evolving business needs and support its growth objectives.Evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in system administration and infrastructure management, and recommend solutions for enhancing IT capabilities and efficiency.Develop scripts and/or automation to facilitate the deployment, configuration, or management of software or systems maintenance.Job QualificationsEducation:Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.ITSM foundation training is required.Experience:Proven experience in system administration, infrastructure engineering, or related roles, with a focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT systems and infrastructure.Experience with infrastructure automation tools, scripting languages, and version control systems.Professional SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Ethical and Critical Thinking.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
