This hands-on role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the operational efficiency of our client's modern collaboration and web services within a hybrid cloud environment. The engineer oversees configuration management, operations, and day-to-day activities to ensure optimal performance.Key responsibilities include collaborating with application teams, information security, and other technical teams to guide project planning, prioritize tasks, and troubleshoot complex issues. The role also involves defining future strategies, establishing standards, documenting processes, and automating procedures to continuously improve our client's global hybrid-cloud infrastructure.Additionally, the engineer manages daily operations, monitors the collaboration and web services technology stack, and participates in system planning, installations, upgrades, and security patching. This role also oversees contractors and managed service providers, ensuring 24/7 system monitoring, error analysis, and issue resolution, while handling customer support requests.Responsibilities:This role involves evaluating, engineering, and managing the installation, configuration, and deployment of enterprise communication, collaboration, web services, and hybrid-cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities include maintaining system upgrades, patching, and enhancements across the enterprise landscape, from lower environments to production and disaster recovery.Working with managed services providers, the engineer oversees day-to-day administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of collaboration, web services, and hybrid infrastructure systems. They collaborate with internal global IT teams and vendors to meet project goals and provide ongoing system support. The role also involves troubleshooting, incident response, and managing infrastructure changes.As the subject matter expert, the engineer leads technical strategy for enterprise collaboration, web services, and hybrid-cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliability and alignment with best practices. They collaborate with application analysts, architects, and IT system owners to provide consultation during design, testing, and operations, while peer-reviewing technical solutions for consistency with IT standards. Additionally, they research technology trends to propose optimizations.Other responsibilities include participating in off-hours support rotations, maintaining documentation, preparing project reports, and managing stakeholder and vendor relationships to support current and future enterprise platforms
