In this role, you will be responsible to plan, coordinate, direct, and support technology-related activities within the organization. You will also help determine technology goals based on the overall corporate initiatives and implement solutions to meet those goals. A successful Systems Engineering Manager will: Analyze, design, and implement technology solutions as part of a team or independently. Support and maintain existing systems and software. Advise and direct the work of other IT professionals. Provide technical and analytical guidance and review work. Collaborate with software/infrastructure engineers, product managers, and project management teams to define features, deliverables, and strategies for technology products. Prioritize, organize, and deliver solutions based on senior leadership direction and goals using iterative development methods that maximize efficiency and value to the business as quickly as possible. Communicate project status and progress to senior leadership. Champion and refine best-practice delivery processes, but also be creative when unique circumstances arise. Research, evaluate, and recommend technology solutions. Manage 3rd party involvement as needed. Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field from a 4-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred but not required. 10+ years' experience in a technology driven organization. 5+ years managing technology teams. Exceptional communications skills (both oral and written), and comfortable communicating with both junior and senior-level professionals internally and externally. Excellent organizational, planning, facilitation, and prioritization skills. Ability to solve problems under time constraints. Extensive knowledge in various software development life cycles ranging from agile/scrum to waterfall methodologies. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft technologies, environments, and languages. Extensive knowledge in systems/software analysis and design
