A Snapshot of Your Day In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the Americas Siemens Energy Accounting & Controlling teams to define project requirements. You'll also develop, and design initiatives aligned with organizational goals. Additionally, you are working on managing process improvement initiatives using cutting-edge technologies such as Machine Learning (ML) for efficiency and accuracy, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to streamline repetitive tasks, and Business Process Management (BPM) solutions for optimized workflows. You are working along with IT to implement accounting and controlling tools (SAP), ensuring seamless integration while driving process changes. Furthermore, you'll identify requirements for process reengineering, data maintenance. Lastly, exploring new ideas, gather industry best practices, and offer recommendations to management for related accounting areas .
How You'll Make an Impact 1. Collaboration with Accounting & Controlling Teams: Work closely with the Americas Siemens Energy Accounting & Controlling teams to define project requirements. Develop and design initiatives that align with organizational goals. 2. Process Improvements and Digital Solutions: Initiate and manage process improvement initiatives using cutting-edge technologies:
Machine Learning (ML): Explore AI-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Robotic Process Automation (RPA): Identify opportunities for automation to streamline repetitive tasks. Business Process Management (BPM) Solutions: Implement BPM tools for optimized workflows. Reporting Solutions: Leverage reporting tools for data-driven decision-making. Redesign and Eliminate Non-Value-Added Steps: Continuously assess processes to eliminate inefficiencies. 3. Implementation of Accounting & Controlling Tools: Collaborate with IT to implement accounting and controlling tools. Ensure seamless integration while driving process changes for efficiency and effectiveness. 4. Data & Process Reengineering: Identify requirements for process reengineering. Work across various departments to implement digital or operation-driven changes. 5. Benefit Modeling and Cost Analysis: Ensure that the value delivered by each project outweighs the associated costs. 6. Best Practices and Recommendations: Explore new ideas and concepts. Gather best practices from industry trends and apply them to our processes. Provide recommendations to management and the Global DPS Community on Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes. What You Bring Education: Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Accounting, IT, or other related discipline, or an advanced degree, where required. Certification in relevant areas may be necessary. Experience: 3-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, process improvement, or project-related roles. Travel: Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time. Financial Analysis and Reporting: Proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and data extraction, Familiarity with tools such as Excel Macros or Business Intelligence (BI) platforms, Experience in: Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, KNIME, Alteryx. ERP Systems: Experience working with SAP, specifically in FI (Financial Accounting), CO (Controlling), optional MM (Materials Management) modules. Knowledge of similar ERPs is also valuable. Process Improvement: Demonstrated ability to improve, automate, and standardize financial processes. Project Work: Experience collaborating on projects within a finance organization. About the Team You will be part of the Accounting Operations Team specifically within Process and Systems division, by playing a pivotal role in the Accounting Operations Team, focusing specifically on process improvement and innovation within the Process and Systems division all over the Americas.
