Let's paint the future together.LOCATION: GARCIA SITE, NUEVO LEON, MEXICO | HYBRIDREPORTS TO: TAX REGIONAL LEADJob PurposeThis position assists the tax department and provides support for Indirect Taxes for North America. This includes activities that require the use of specific accounting systems (e.G. in SAP/HFM and other ERP systems/applications).ResponsibilitiesSupport and execute in an accurate and timely way the required ongoing Sales and Use Tax, Property Tax and miscellaneous Business Registration filings for the entities in the North America region, particularly USA.Key Indirect Tax operations expert for the region.Maintain and monitor the Indirect tax compliance of the entities with outside service providers.Assist the Corporate Tax Department with Indirect Tax Audits.Prepare annual 1099 and other informational forms as needed.Ensure tax relevant intercompany journal entries are properly recorded and documented.Prepare and review monthly general ledger account reconciliations for various sales and use tax, property tax, and other miscellaneous tax accounts, including creating and submitting journal entries, as needed.Provide data from SAP or CFIN as needed by Tax Managers.Daily interaction with the Country Tax Managers and Global Business Services (Shared Services) organization.Identify opportunities to improve and automate processes and controls and drive continuous improvement.Drive standardization across BUs in the region and guard the integrity and quality of the general ledger tax accounts.Job RequirementsBachelor or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA a Plus.Indirect tax professional with preferably 3-5 years of experience in an indirect tax role and capable of analyzing complex tax processes and issues.Effective communication skills in dealing with internal and external customers.Ability to work (in accordance with Tax operations Team Lead) under time pressure during month-end close and continuously retain 'an eye' for the details.Autonomous in organizing responsibilities and work.Good working knowledge of accounting in SAP or similar ERP system.Excellent knowledge in Excel.Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish
