.**Tax Manager - Tax Optimization****Role description****Main activities**:**Responsible to**:- Provide support and management on the activities for HSBC subsidiaries, as well as, on Deferred Tax and Current tax analysis, effective tax rate for local purposes and IFRs purposes.- Responsible of submitting Corporate Tax Reports for UK Group, such as: Effective Tax Rate, Annual Tax Pack, Current and Deferred Taxes, Taxes paid and collected.- Determine the Profit sharing forecast for the subsidiaries.- Optimization processes and controls for HSBC México.- Prepare and submit tax compliance activities for HSBC México, S.A. and its subsidiaries.- Provide tax advisory on daily tax matters of the Functions.- Support on any tax matter and special projects (mergers, restructures, favorable balances recovery).- Management of External and Tax Authorities audits and requirements.- Tax risk management.**Impact on the Business**- Establish governance on the tax compliance process and controls.- Establish Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with other areas who provide information for achieving tax compliance duties.- Identification of Uncertain Tax Positions or potential tax issues to HBSC group.- Automation of key tax compliance process**Major Challenges**- Proper submission of Corporate Tax Reports based on policies and Group Tax UK requirements.- Establish governance on the tax compliance process and controls.- Establish Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with other areas who provide information for achieving tax compliance duties.- Maintain solid controls for the tax compliance matters and activities.- Management effectively the activities, reports and deadlines.Requirements**Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications**- Desirable Bachelor degree in Finance, Business Administration or Economic Areas.- Desirable M.D. in Taxes.- 3+ years of experience in Tax, specially on international services companies.
