*About the job Tax Manager* Our world-class client in the automotive industry located in Cd. Juarez is looking for a Tax Manager with strong experience in TAX in a Manufacturing environment. This Leader serves to help deliver a strategic tax plan to ensure our client's compliance with regulations in Mexico. He or she bears responsibility for coordinating on a project basis, certain aspects of tax compliance carried out on the Company's behalf: *Qualifications:- * 5+ years of experience as a Tax Manager and fluent in English- Extensive individual/corporate/partnership tax knowledge- Strong accounting, analytical, research, organizational, and interpersonal skills- Excellent written and oral communication skills- Strong knowledge of tax codes, compliance, and procedures for corporations- Familiarity with Mexican federal, state, and local reporting requirements- Strong experience in Maquiladora with a variety of tax operations and the ability to drive process improvements- Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work with key stakeholders and communicate the benefits of tax initiatives- Prior experience managing VAT reimbursement and obtaining VAT certification *Responsibilities:- * Work with business operations to support VAT certification for our client's various legal entities within Mexico- Facilitate and manage the preparation and review of company federal tax returns and the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms- Support on LATAM tax compliance, tax planning, transfer pricing, and tax accounting projects- Review of Tax Accounting (VAT, VAT, and Income Tax Withholdings, Current Income Tax, and Deferred Income Tax US GAAP and MX GAAP)- Ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated federal, state, and local income tax returns and other business-related filings- Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures- Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes- Plan for and develop an overall return calendar and coordinate timing and inputs- Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process- Manage and facilitate income tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team, and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation- Provide support with various internal audits and special tax-related projects- Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections _Our client is an equal-opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
