Tax Manager

General description of the job:Prepares and maintains tax records, returns, reports, and other related materials.Devises legal means to minimize tax liability through knowledge of tax laws and regulations.Recommends alternative tax treatments to alleviate or reduce tax burden.Reviews prevalent tax provisions and initiates investigation into areas of opportunity.Ensures accuracy of company's tax declarations.Provides guidance to plant financial teams to ensure Accounting Records are in line with Tax regulation.Coordinates the company response to external audits from Tax Authorities at all levels.Defines strategy coordinated with external consultants in response to audits or any requirements from Tax Authorities in Mexico.Specific requirements:Technical experience with all Tax records and requirements in accordance with Mexico Tax Regulations.Recent and ongoing updates on changes to Mexico Tax Law, especially for ISR, VAT, and Maquiladora Tax regulations.Leadership skills and the ability to coordinate and work as a team with all other areas in the company, especially local accounting teams.Education:BS/BA required.MBA/MS preferred.Mexico Tax Diploma, Courses, Seminars.Experience:Requires 5-8 years of experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
