As a Tax Manager, you will work closely with other key stakeholders such as accounting, legal, Ops, GA, and commercial, among others. You will lead our initiatives to build a successful tax function within the accounting team and across other areas. You will also participate in implementing processes and controls to enhance financial reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate aspires to grow with DiDi and is willing to support all business areas whenever needed.Role ResponsibilitiesFacilitating and managing the preparation and review of the company's federal tax returns, as well as timely and accurately completing all tax returns.Ensuring accurate and timely filing of consolidated federal, state and local income tax returns and other business-related returns.Seeking opportunities to improve the processing of the company's tax procedures, and implementing them.Developing and implementing a strategic tax plan for all necessary federal and state taxes.Directing tax team members in preparing components of the federal tax return and other tax documents.Planning and developing a general schedule of returns and coordinating times and entries with the tax team.Maintaining effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.Managing and facilitating SAT audits related to direct, indirect, TP and international tax: prepare responses, develop schedules, etc.Monitoring tax law developments, communicating the effects of these developments to management and the tax team, and creating strategies to capitalize on changes in tax legislation.Providing efficient support through various internal audits and special projects in tax matters.Reviewing tax returns and quarterly and annual tax projections.Directing and educating members of the tax team to achieve higher levels of effectiveness and involvement
