.Empowering people, creating technology.Responsibilities:Implements strategies for minimizing organizational tax liability as co-developed with the US International Tax Director.Ensures compliance with changes in Mexico tax law and communicates changes to the business groups.Leads Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) tax activity including reorganizations and support for due diligence efforts and integration within Mexico and coordinates with the US International Tax Director in this process.Supports the Regional Tax Director on M&A tax activity / transactions led out of the US.Understanding of Mexico transfer pricing practices and familiar with global BEPS (Base Erosion Profits Shifting) rules.Responsible for Mexico income tax provisions, including deferred tax accounting and uncertain tax positions impacting the local financial statement and the organization's consolidated IFRS financial statements.Performs a final review and directs the submission of tax related documents / filings, which include Corporate Income tax, Value Added tax (VAT), state / local tax returns, declarations, or extensions as first reviewed by the Tax Manager.The Senior Regional Tax Manager's tax compliance responsibilities specifically include monthly VAT filing, monthly income tax installments, monthly electronic accounting, bi-monthly payroll tax, profit sharing and tax provision calculations (e.G., current and deferred taxes).Leads both corporate income tax and VAT tax audits in the region.Oversees the work of external tax consultants and related budgeting (e.G., transfer pricing studies, Dictamen Fiscal, tax advisors, etc.).Works with each CFO and Controller for direct and indirect tax responsibility for approximately 10 legal entities in Mexico.Supports Mexico entities with the conversion to SAP to maximize tax digitalization efforts in the region and as a core regional objective.Partners with entities in advancing SAT Electronic Accounting (Phase 3 reporting) in the region.Initial shared responsibility for the tax matters of approximately 10 legal entities in Mexico.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A mix of Big 4 firm experience and industry tax experience is strongly preferred
