Job Purpose
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for "dynamic, results driven" individual to join as a Senior Systems Integration Engineer. The Senior Systems Integration Engineer is responsible for ensuring the system integration processes and activities of integrating hardware & software is completed for an electrification project. This person will be responsible for fulfilling the system integration requirements and collaborating with the hardware and software teams throughout product development process, including setting up, troubleshooting, and testing the products to complete system integration for electrification products.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing system integration test strategy.
- Supporting development of system integration strategy.
- Responsible to perform Hardware & Software testing & prepare results.
- Supporting customer interface for any System Integration issues along with System Test Lead.
- Participate in Peer Reviews of System Integration & Qualification Strategy and Test Specifications.
- Interface and support System Test Engineers and Test Automation Engineers.
- Participate in Test Spec Defect Process.
- Creating/Maintaining Defect Tracking Process across all the projects.
- Process adherence against ASPICE Levels.
- Supporting any Audits on the Project for System Integration testing.
- Supporting Bench definition/configuration required for Testing.
- Supporting development of manufacturing programming process.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience as Systems/Software/Test Engineer OR a Master's plus 2+ years experience.
- Knowledge of DSpace/NI/INCA - ETAS/Vector Tool experience (CANape, CANoe etc.).
- Knowledge of automotive communication standards (FlexRay, CAN, SPI, etc.)
- Experience in Writing Test specification on Requirements (Doors, Polarian, etc.) as well as Designs.
- Experience of different Type of Test Generation Methodology.
- Experience Executing Tests on different test environments e.g. Dyne/Dynamometer, HV, Bench, HIL.
- Knowledge of high voltage safety standards and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications - Core Competency
- Understanding of ISO 26262 and/or ISO/SAE 21434
- Prior experience in automotive electrification
- Knowledge of Matlab
- Experience developing test setups with fixturing and proper interfaces
- Able to interpret electrical / electronic schematics
- Ability to routinely work in a hands-on manner required.
- Ability to work flexible hours to support multi-shift operation if necessary.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
- Ability to work under limited supervision.
- Knowledge of Excel/XML/XLST standards.
