About the role
As a Learning Technologist in the Talent Development Section of the Global Business Centre, you will be seen as a true expert in your field, collaborating closely with your peers within GBS as well as our Leadership, Learning & Talent CoE.
Key responsibilities
Key responsibilities will include:
Develop digital learning content (guides, videos, web pages, eLearning and other interactive digital content) through independent research or by interviewing internal subject matter experts or a combination of both.
Use various modern authoring tools (e.g. Storyline) to rapidly build enjoyable, positive, interactive and engaging digital learning experiences.
Create storyboards, scripts and graphics associated with digital learning content.
Translate technical information into easy-to-understand language that is technically accurate and understandable by non-experts.
Adhere to and contribute to the improvement of in-house instructional design and digital content creation standards, processes and templates.
Design and develop live virtual learning and classroom materials (slide decks, learner resources and facilitator guides) based on content provided by the wider Learning team.
Maintain course metadata and overall system configuration within our Learning Management System.
Co-ordinate input and feedback from stakeholders to ensure completion of digital learning content in a timely manner.
Act as an escalation point for any issues related to processes or systems which cannot be resolved by Learning Administrators.
Contribute instructional design expertise to the overall design of learning programmes, collaborating effectively with stakeholders within the learning team and within the business.
Act as an evangelist for learning technology across the organisation, including leading the enhancement of existing learning programmes through the increased application of digital technologies.
Qualifications and skills
Person Specification / Key Competencies
Ability to compose clear and concise written and visual content for consumption by native and non-native English language speakers from a variety of cultures and technical disciplines.
Capable of working on multiple projects at the same time and prioritising work appropriately.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, including a strong project management discipline to ensure work is completed on time to the required level of quality.
Thorough knowledge of learning management systems (preferably Success Factors), and an excellent understanding of processes and best practices for implementing instructional design in a learning management system.
Ability to work in and with cross-functional teams located in both local and remote settings.
Advanced use of MS office including Power BI.
Open to innovative instructional design methods and the use of new technologies.
High level of English language proficiency as this is Kerry's most widely spoken language.
Able to select the most appropriate method of communication to any given situation and tailor approach accordingly to ensure the most receptive audience and the best likelihood of influence and success.
Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience.
Experience in designing and implementing social media elements into learning programmes.
Experience of applying design thinking to the development of learning content.
