The Team Lead is responsible for managing and guiding a department team to ensure the successful completion of tasks, efficient workflow, and achievement of performance goals.
This role requires a strong leader who can onboard and train new team members, maintain high accuracy and accountability levels, and support daily operations.
The Team Lead will act as a liaison between the team and management, promoting a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development.
This position is crucial for maintaining the quality of service provided to clients and ensuring that cases are handled efficiently.
Compensation: $24,000 Responsibilities: Include, but are not limited to: Lead and oversee day-to-day operations of the assigned department, ensuring high performance and team collaboration.
Onboard and train new team members on case production, processes, and procedures relevant to the department.
Develop and implement a timeline to achieve department targets and goals, while maintaining accountability across the team.
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of documentation and records for each case or project the team handles.
Collaborate with other departments to successfully complete firm-wide and client-specific goals.
Conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews with team members, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
Facilitate team meetings, set agendas, and distribute updates on team progress to management.
Identify and implement process improvements that will enhance team productivity and service quality.
Stay informed about legal requirements, procedures, and industry standards related to the department.
Step in to assist the team with production tasks as needed.
Qualifications: The following includes the knowledge, skill, and/or ability requirements necessary to perform this position: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) is required to effectively communicate.
Proven experience or skills in leading a team in a legal or professional services setting.
Familiarity with case management systems and departmental processes.
Prior experience in immigration law or a related field is preferred but not required.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate team members.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects and team activities simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and case management software.
Ability to work independently and in collaboration with diverse teams.
Ability to manage high-stress situations with professionalism and empathy.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes and support a culture of continuous learning.
