What will you do?
- Lead a Procurement team for assigned (Sub) Commodities and implement the Procurement strategy, standards and guidelines in the area of responsibility.
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsibility for the allocated purchasing volume, the contribution to earnings from changes in material prices and the cash flow effect due to the improvement in payment terms
- Implementation of purchasing strategy in assigned commodities to ensure efficiency of procurement operations
- Planning and controlling of corresponding purchasing measures for assigned commodities
- Disciplinary management of currently 4 strategic buyers including development of knowledge within the team
- Analysis of the purchasing volume, determination of potential savings and conducting complex / international (framework) contract and price negotiations
- Establish close cooperation with departments such as technology, logistics, production and quality
- Develop and track improvement measures coordinated within the team
- Implementation of process improvements and digitization projects
What will you need to succeed?
- Bachelor's degree (Business Administration, International Business, Engineering, Economics, Marketing)
- Negotiation skills, strategic thinking and strong problem-solving skills
- Preferably first experience in disciplinary lead of teams
- Knowledge in advanced negotiation concepts, supplier logistic agreements and contract management
- Material Management, Project Logistics and Import & Export know-how
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications and SAP MM Modules
- Fluent English and Spanish
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
As teamlead in the strategic procurement department you should bring many years of experience in purchasing of series and project-specific components, especially in the field of electronic and mechanical components for medium voltage. You should also have a very good commercial and technical understanding, a high level of flexibility and commitment, ideally combined with intercultural experience.
