.LOCATION: Guadalajara SSC REPORTS TO: Technical Accountant Chief Ingredion is hiring a Technical Accountant Analyst to execute accounting transactions for the LATAM companies, in accordance with USGAAP and local GAAP applicable, ensuring transactions are accurate and properly stated. Participate in the month end and year end closing process as required. Perform accounting transactions for the LATAM SSC legal entity and full compliance with tax and legal Mexican regulations for this entity. Your responsibilities will include: Assist in the preparation of financial statements to ensure accurate financial data is available for the LATAM business as required. Prepare and provide financial information for internal/external audits and assist corporate accounting with external reporting, ensuring information is accurate and timely. Prepare monthly account reconciliations in a timely manner to ensure internal control policies are being followed. Book journal entries as required and ensure that transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with applicable standards. Perform monthly consolidations and elimination process for the LATAM entities when applicable. Perform monthly BPC actual's submission to corporate, ensuring information is properly recorded and validated. Perform account analysis and other projects as requested by manager. Identify, initiate and develop system changes with information technology to improve the availability of financial information, minimizing disruption during implementation and creating efficiencies. Conduct process reviews to identify improvements to enhance the quality of financial reporting. Lead the implementation of improvements identified through this process. Qualified candidates will have: Ideally 4+ years of significant experience in financial analysis, reporting, accounting or auditing within a multinational environment and public companies. Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA desired. SAP and BPC Consolidations experience a plus. Significant relevant experience in fast-paced accounting department. Demonstrated ability to prepare and analyze financial statements. Proficient in monthly general ledger closing process and consolidations. Demonstrated ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and make and support decisions to resolve problems and take advantage of opportunities. Intermediate level in English required, and any level of Portuguese is a plus. Proven proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite Software Programs (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
