Stripe Disputes is the portal through which our users participate in this aspect of the ecosystem, spanning all the varied payments providers that their customers use.Disputes Technical Operations and Disputes Engineering are partner teams, with Technical Operations owning most of the operational aspects of Stripe's Disputes business, and Engineering owning new feature development.Our remit – as it stands today – on Technical Operations can be broadly oriented around the two poles of "integration reliability" and "compliance and accountability".

It is our job to ensure that their disputes are handled without error or incident, that we can proactively eliminate operational inefficiencies in their handling, that we can repair and restore when breakages happen, and that we are responsible stewards of the financial data in our possession.What you'll doResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and use tools and abstractions in code that make our jobs easier, across all the things we do (observability, intervention, reporting, reconciliation, etc).Design, build, and use data sources in SQL to facilitate our (and others') work with the data we own.Create process efficiencies to meet the scale and speed of Stripe.Ensure our timely compliance with accounting, auditing, and regulatory requirements.Interact with Stripe's financial partners across the world to understand their products and how Stripe uses them, drive alignment between us, hold them accountable to resolve day-to-day operational breakages, and actively develop new solutions to the problems encountered.Who you areWe're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role.
