Your tasks
As a Technical Project Leader, you will be responsible to lead and manage all the engineering activities of an automotive development project.
These complex Light Control Units must be managed within a specified time, budget and quality framework to the satisfaction of the customer.
Your new tasks:
- Responsible for development projects including timing, RnD budget and product quality
- Lead large engineering project team including hardware, software, mechanical, systems, test and safety engineers
- Coordinate cross discipline activities by working closely with each discipline lead within the project team which maybe local or in remote RnD locations
- Develops, defines and executes project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables
- Identifies needed resources for projects, defines and assigns major project roles
- Ensure all discipline leads have completed required work products at various gates of the product life cycle and prepare Engineering Release package for each gate
- Responsible for project configuration and change management execution, this includes both engineering releases and series production releases
- Support the communication between manufacturing plants and engineering teams
- Primary technical contact to the customer release engineers

- Strong communication skills needed
- The TPL needs to be very organized and detail oriented to keep many different parallel tasks on track and ensure nothing is overlooked
- Goal oriented personality that can see how the individual issues and tasks fit with the overall project plan to ensure project success
- Problem solving skills are a must, looking for someone who can think outside the box and come up with solutions a challenge the team
- Agile development experience is an asset
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive product development
