Experience what's next at Avnet!Job Summary:Technical Lead for computer system assembly engineering activities. Advisory role to sales, production, repair, and customer teams for technical solutions to support the customer's business and technical objectives. Receives ECOs (Engineering Change Orders), provides an analysis of the change, the impact to the business and/or product(s), and coordinates the schedule and implementation strategy. Participates in NPI (New Product Introduction) by providing initial technical review of the BOM (Bill of Materials), limited DFA/DFM design feedback, and scheduling. Works closely with internal technical and customer management teams and directly with external customers to meet customer deadlines.Principal Responsibilities:Assists in analyzing data to determine feasibility of product proposal or change.Reviews change requests, evaluates impact of change, and provides implementation timelines.Creates and maintains BOMs within Avnet's systems.Works with material and supply chain teams to guide product sourcing.Manages schedule of all engineering activities on assigned accounts.Works with production teams to minimally disrupt production schedule during change cut-ins.May directly implement Engineering Change Orders (ECO) to document and build process. Communicates Engineering Change Notifications (ECN) to production, sales, and customer engineering team.Drives resolution for all technical and process related issues.Identifies, investigates, and participates in opportunities to improve processes and procedures, to include various key performance metrics.Guides customers and internal teams through Avnet's business processes.Other duties as assigned.Work Experience:Typically 3+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.Familiarity & experience with industry standard ECO, NPI, and manufacturing processes.Work experience in a related field.Familiarity & experience in project management and project management tools.Familiarity or experience in a manufacturing environment.Education and Certification(s):Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.What We Offer:Our employees work hard to live our values and help us grow.
