Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Technical Support Engineer.What you'll do:Job SummaryProvide technical support for the low voltage variable frequency drives (VFD) support team within the Technical Resource Center (TRC).
This position assists internal and external customers with product selection, application assistance, programming, and troubleshooting of Eaton's VFD products.
This position will assist customers through various channels including phone and email.Job ResponsibilitiesProvide post-sale and pre-sale technical support for VFDs.Provide verbal and written technical support for internal and external customers.Effectively communicate product value proposition and product line strategies.Help the team meet KPI's (key performance indicators).Ability to perform assigned duties in a team atmosphere while also having the ability to work independently.Ability to use internal software applications including MFgPro, C360 CRM, Access TRC call log, Enovia, and Vista.Participate in the development and/or maintenance of product support resources (i.E.
self-service knowledge base, application notes, catalogs).Ability to work flexible hours to support emergency customer situations.Qualifications:Bachelor degree in a technical field necessary.Minimum customer interaction experience (3 years).Technical knowledge
- BS degree in engineering
- VFD experience
- Automation technical knowledge (PLCs, HMIs, and communication protocols)
- Strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills
